About Us

A New Congregation For a New Generation in Anna

The Orchard is the new contemporary congregation at Anna United Methodist Church.  A completely new congregation, The Orchard is starting with a blank slate to design a worship experience that is free of pretense and is an authentic expression of faith in Jesus.

Designed for new families and people new to following Jesus, every one is welcome.

Authentic Praise; Zero Pretense.

The Orchard features modern praise and worship songs that feel natural to people who have never been in church and to those who been followers of Jesus for years.

Come as you are. Blue jeans and shorts are welcome, as long as you come expecting to experience God's love.

Worship @ The Orchard

Learning from the Failures and Successes of God's People

One of the great things about the Bible is its honesty about the people trying to follow God. In this 8-week sermon series, we will examine real people of faith, see the honest truth about how they failed and prevailed, and learn how to grow closer to God ourselves.

March - 17 - Moses

March 24 -  Esther

April 7 - Ruth

April 14 - John the Baptizer (Palm Sunday)

April 21 - Jesus (Easter)

Future Sermon Series for 2019

Easter Aftermath

Some of the biggest controversies among Christians relate to the Old Testament's rules and regulations. The church today still deals with legalism even though God made it clear that Christians were free to follow Christ unhitched from legalism and were free to live based on the law of love: to Love God and Love Neighbor.

May 12 - Foundation (Mother's Day)

May 19 - Breaking Free

May 26 - Growing Strong

June 2 - Finish Line

The Bible for Adults

Sometimes people spend more time fighting over the Bible than living the love, truth, and wisdom it reveals.  This 4-Week sermon series explores the Bible, how it impacts our life, and provides a timeless and modern understanding as to why and how the Bible is a reliable guide for life in 2019.

June 9 - Jesus First

June 16 - In the Beginning

June 23 - The Hebrew Scriptures

June 30 - What to Do With Doubt
